Executive Chef Billy Buscher, named Top Chef at the Ashland Culinary Festival and the winner in the Bite of Oregon Hot Chef cookoff in Portland, takes diners on a delightful spin through Oregon’s culinary landscape. Cooking innovative comfort food from scratch, our culinary team is inspired by local farms, orchards, creameries, and wineries.

MEET THE CHEF

Executive Chef Billy Buscher

Native Oregonian who first grew to appreciate the value of hard work as a dishwasher at age 15.  Billy still carries with him that strong work ethic to this day and contributes those early roots to some of his current success. Billy developed his basic cooking skills at the historic Jacksonville Inn, fine tuned his techniques at the Carriage House, Nunan Estate and made a name for himself as the Executive Chef at Alchemy Restaurant in Ashland. During his tenure at Alchemy, the restaurant was awarded Top 100 Restaurants for Foodies by Opentable. Billy has had the honor to win the title of Top Chef at the Ashland Culinary Festival as well as first place in the Bite of Oregon Hot Chef cookoff in Portland.  Chef Buscher also expanded his global cooking skills with a stint in New Zealand. Billy has a passion for cooking techniques, flavors and presentation which sets him apart. In April of 2019, Chef Billy Buscher joined the team at Larks Kitchen & Cocktails and Inn at the Commons. On the rare occasion when you don’t find Chef Billy creating magic in the kitchen, you may find him enjoying nature and escaping to the forest and mountains of Southern Oregon.
